SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for a local man in connection with an alleged attempted armed robbery that happened late last month in north Shreveport.
A warrant was issued for 21-year-old Zamario Washington, charging him with one count of attempted armed robbery. Washington was developed as a suspect in the Nov. 24 attempted armed robbery of the Shoe Show store in the 1900 block of North Market Street.
When officers arrived at the scene, witnesses said that a man, later identified as Washington, entered the business brandishing a gun and told employees that he had no intention of buying shoes that he had selected while inside the store.
Before making off with any merchandise or cash, Washington fled the store on foot. Bond has been set at $75,000. Anyone with any information regarding Washington's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
