SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Firefighters battled a blaze at house just south of Downtown Shreveport Tuesday morning.
Officials say emergency calls started pouring in just before 3 a.m. after people saw huge flames from I-20. Firefighters say it was a house in the 600 block of Spring Hill Street.
Firefighters have evacuated neighbors due to the danger of flames spreading. Firefighters say the house is vacant. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to get the fire under control.
The house did not have utilities connected. Officials are investigating the fire as an arson.
