WASHINGTON (WTOC) -
The second Inauguration of President Barack Obama is scheduled for Jan. 21 in Washington, D.C., and if you want to attend and you live in Georgia's 12th District, U.S. Congressman John Barrow may have tickets just for you.
Congressman Barrow is accepting requests for tickets to the Inauguration through his official website until Jan. 6.
"The inauguration of the
President of the United States is a time-honored tradition in this country," said Congressman
Barrow in a news release. "Every four years, we
make history with yet another peaceful transfer of power, and I'm honored that
folks in Georgia get to participate in person. I encourage folks to apply
online for tickets, and I look forward to seeing them in our nation's capital
in January."
If you would like to attend, simply fill out the online form before the deadline. Congressman Barrow's office will hold a lottery for ticket distribution, and winners will be announced in January.
