Louisiana Tech wins 6th straight beating SLU

RUSTON, LA - The Bulldogs were a point shy of the century mark Wednesday night as they defeated Southeastern Louisiana 99-62 in front of 2,357 at the Thomas Assembly Center.

LA Tech registered three players in double figures as Raheem Appleby led all scorers with 22 points. Cordarius Johnson and Michale Kyser scored 15 and 10 points respectively. Kenneth Smith also contributed with eight points, five rebounds, six steals and seven assists.

Tech trailed early on in the game 22-8 after beginning the night shooting 5-21 (23 percent). Tech then went on to score 91 points in 26:22 as the Bulldogs pulled ahead in dominant fashion. Louisiana Tech outscored Southeastern 69-34 in the second half.

Southeastern Louisiana was led by Dre Evans and Brandon Fortenberry who scored 19 and 10 points respectively.

Louisiana Tech travels to Atlanta, Ga., Friday to face Georgia State in a 6 P.M. tipoff.
