Development Group, Inc. is pleased to accept the honor of being voted the top small business as part of the Best Companies to Work for in Shasta County Competition.
The Best Companies to Work for in Shasta County competition is coordinated by the Smart Business Resource Center and was held at Win River Casino in Redding. The event is in its sixth year and nearly 80 north state firms that have been in business for at least one year were represented.
The competition is designed so that voting is based on the nominations and personal narratives that employees of the companies submit to the Smart Business Resource Center. The companies remain anonymous to the judges during the voting process. The winners were chosen from 79 companies nominated by 475 employees.
Employees from Development Group said they nominated the company because of the support and tools they receive that help them succeed.
“It’s such a valued opportunity to be working for a company that is constantly championing our success; they set you up to succeed,” said Megan Scales, Human Resource Manager at Development Group.
Other winners were Redding Bank of Commerce in the large employer category, U.S. Bank in the mid-size category, and Members 1st Credit Union in the nonprofit category.
Development Group was established in 2008. Its corporate office is located in Redding, California with offices also in Sacramento and Medford, Oregon.
