Caddo parish investigators are looking into a rash of car burglaries on Roy Road.
The culprit reportedly lifted just about anything they could get their hands on - things like loose change, a gun, and electronics.
The sheriff's office says the burglaries were crimes of
opportunity because all the vehicles were unlocked.
The residents themselves admit, because their neighborhood is so peaceful they sometimes leave things unlocked.
"You shouldn't have to, it's on my property. So why should we have to lock our doors?" asked Cathy Daniel, a victim of the burglaries.
The sheriff's office reminds people that you should always lock your car doors, and place your valuables out of sight, or bring them inside.
