SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A 72-year-old Shreveport man was sent to the hospital after an apparent home invasion, and police are on the hunt for two men in connection with the case.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday police went to a home in the 4500 block of Line Avenue after receive a call of an alleged home invasion.
Officers say homeowner Winburn Cerlin was suffering from obvious trauma to his head after an attack that occurred inside his home. He was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Further investigation resulted in a witness who said she saw two men running on foot from the area around Cerlin's home. The witness told police that she was in the area the check on Cerlin.
Authorities urge anyone with information about this crime to contact Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or Shreveport Police Detectives at 673-6955.
