SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Police are searching for a gunman after two men were shot in the Queensborough neighborhood Friday morning.
Shreveport police say around 2:15 a.m. two men were in a car at Subway near the intersection of Greenwood Road and Jewella Avenue when a gunman reportedly shot into the car. Police say the victims were able to drive to the Clark gas station to get help.
One victim was shot in his finger and stomach. The other victim was grazed. Both men were taken to LSU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
They have been identified as 19-year-old Timothy Kelly and 18-year-old Corseydon Evans, both of Shreveport.
Police say that the two men "have not been forthcoming with authorities about the events that led up to their being shot and could not provide a description of a possible suspect."
In the course of their investigation, police say they found multiple bullet holes in the vehicle and a small caliber handgun possibly related to the crime on the ground near the victims' vehicle. In speaking with people at the scene, investigators now believe that the shooting may have stemmed from some sort of dispute involving the victims and another group of men.
Police are still working to piece together the facts surrounding the shooting. Anyone with information is urged to call Caddo-Shreveport Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or Shreveport Police Detectives at (318) 673-6955.
