SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
One driver has been taken to the hospital after a one-vehicle wreck in Shreveport.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. at Spring Street and Market Street south of downtown Shreveport, near Ernest New Orleans restaurant.
Witnesses told police the driver of a white 1997 Toyota 4Runner was traveling at a high rate of speed south on Market Street when he lost control, went up an embankment and slammed into the Market Street overpass.
Police say the driver, an 18-year-old male, was unconscious when medical responders first arrived, but regained consciousness as he was being put into the ambulance. He was taken to LSU Medical Center with what police are calling non life-threatening injuries.
