CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A Vivian man convicted of molesting children has been denied an appeal by the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals.

A Caddo Parish Jury found Terry Lynn Terry Guilty on three counts of molesting a juvenile back in 2010. The encounters dated back to 1985.

Terry, 47, was given a sentence for each of the three counts: 2 sentences of 15 years in prison and one sentence of 50 years in prison, to be served concurrently.

Terry must also register as a sex offender.

In the appeal, Terry's attorneys argued the district court did not follow some rules during sentencing, and that the sentences were constitutionally excessive.

On Wednesday, affirmed the lower court's sentencing, denying Terry's appeal.
