Ultimate 6 Pass offers three days at Telluride, three in Crested Butte. Telluride, Colorado (PRWEB) November 17, 2012
Telluride Ski Resort and Crested Butte Mountain Resort announced they will partner in an interchangeable lift ticket this winter, the Telluride-Crested Butte Ultimate 6 Pass. The new pass will offer three days at Telluride and three days at Crested Butte - with no blackout dates. The pass is only available in limited numbers, book by December 15th, for $399 at Liftopia.
The Ultimate 6 Pass is being offered as a promotional piece in support of the Telluride Montrose Regional Air Organization (TMRAO) and Crested Butte Mountain Resort's recent partnership with Allegiant Air. This new airlines collaboration will service direct nonstop flights to the Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) from Oakland International Airport (OAK) and Phoenix-Mesa airport (IWA). “It’s helping to bring people to both resorts, and this is a great way to do that," said Telski Communications Director Tom Watkinson.
Once the first three visits have been used at each resort, additional days may be added on at a 20 percent discount off the single-day window rate throughout the rest of the season. Already have a Season Pass? No problem. Each pass holder can purchase lift tickets at the other ski area for 50 percent off the window rate, with minimum blackout dates around the holidays.
This week, Telluride was ranked #1 in Condé Nast Traveler's 2012 Readers' Poll for Best Ski Resort in North America... just in time for Opening Day on Thursday, November 22nd.
To purchase an Ultimate 6 Pass, visit Liftopia.com, Crested Butte Mountain Resort or Telluride Ski Resort. Also this year, Telluride Ski Resort will be offering a special three-day pass option at $169 for those with season passes to Powderhorn Mountain Resort near Grand Junction.
The 2012/2013 season marks Telluride Ski Resort’s 40th year in operation. Born out of an adventurous desire to immerse in the precious “white gold” or snowy powder that blankets the surrounding peaks, West Coast entrepreneur Joe Zoline opened the Telluride Ski Resort to the public in 1972. The resort has grown immensely in the past 40 years, and this year the mountain will be hosting the LG FIS Snowboard World Cup and the Telluride Skiercross/Boardercross World Cup from December 12-16, 2012.
