Shreveport teen stabbed; another teen in custody

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A 14-year-old boy who was stabbed Thursday is recovering from non-life threatening injuries, and police have in custody another juvenile they believe wielded the knife.

Jermarin Smith was taken to LSU Medical Center for treatment of three stab wounds, according to his family.

The stabbing occurred shortly after 3 p.m. in the 600 block of Hearne Avenue.

Witnesses say Smith, a student at Booker T. Washington High School, ran to his home in the 2700 block of Abbie Street after he was stabbed.
