Arrest made in Texarkana convenience store armed robbery

TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -

Texarkana, Arkansas police have arrested a man accused of robbing a local convenience store on Monday.

40-year-old Gregory Gutowski is charged with robbery.

Police say Gutowski walked into the EZ Mart on Hickory Street around 10:00 p.m. on November 12 and demanded money from the cashier.

The employee told police that Gutowski acted like he had a weapon in the pocket of his sweatshirt.

When he received the cash, he took off on foot.

Detectives say their investigation led them to identify and arrest Gutowski within 24 hours of the robbery.

Gutowski, of Ashland, Kentucky, was booked in to the Bi-State Justice Center.
