SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

The Shreveport pair dubbed the "The Jet Ski Bandits" have each pleaded guilty to armed robbery, rather than face a jury trial.

38-year-old LaNorris Weathers was sentenced Monday by Caddo District Judge Ramona Emanuel to 45 years in prison at hard labor for trying to rob Sam's Town Casino in Shreveport in November 2011.

Weathers was apprehended inside the casino by security personnel after an employee in the cashier's cage managed to grab the handgun that Weathers had laid on a counter while retrieving money.

Regis D. Hamilton, 22, received 10 years in prison at hard labor for his part in the robbery.
Hamilton, who was spotted outside the casino cruising the river on a jet ski while waiting for Weathers, was captured later when police found the watercraft abandoned on the river bank and tracked him to a wooded area.
