SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police say a local restaurant was targeted by a group of armed robbers Sunday night.

It happened just before 11 p.m. as employees from Superior Bar and Grill were walking to their cars after closing the business for the night. It was reported to authorities that a trio of armed men appeared from behind one of the employees' cars brandishing a handgun and knives.

According to witness accounts, the men forced the employees back inside the restaurant, at which time each employee was allegedly robbed of their belongings. At least one of the suspects reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of money from the business safe.

Following the robbery, all three men fled on foot. No one was injured during the encounter.

Victims describe the robbers as three black males, all standing approximately 5'10" to 6' tall. The suspect armed with the handgun donned a camouflage mask over his face, and wore dark jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt. The two other suspects were both described as wearing dark clotting and armed with knives.

Investigators are hoping surveillance footage from the business will help them identify and apprehend the suspects.

Authorities urge anyone with information about this crime to contact Caddo-Shrveport Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or Shreveport Police Detective Josh Feliciano at (318) 673-6955.
