SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport police are on the scenes of two armed robberies that took place within minutes of each other in south Shreveport.
Few details have been released, but officers are at the Kangaroo Express on the corner of Walker Road and Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, as well as the Circle K at the corner of Walker Road and Mackey Lane, just a few blocks away.
It appears the man first robbed the Kangaroo Express at gunpoint. Officers on the scene say after leaving the Kangaroo Express, witnesses reported seeing the man run around into the apartment complex next to the store.
A short time later, the Circle K was robbed and once again, the robber is believed to have fled on foot.
Police say detectives are combing through surveillance video and talking to witnesses, who have given the same description of the man, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. He is described as being about 5'6", 125-130 lbs.
