SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport police are investigating a homicide, after a woman's body was discovered in a field in southwest Shreveport Saturday morning.
A jogger found the body of 68-year-old Rose Gonzaque Coleman of Shreveport in the field behind the old AT&T plant off of Williamson Way near Mansfield Road around 8 a.m.
No details have been released on the cause of death.
Natchitoches Police have a woman identified as 28 year old Stacey Blount in custody. Blount was found driving the car registered to the woman found in the field, and police say they think she may have carjacked Coleman before her death.
On Sunday morning Blount was still in custody in Natchitoches, but Shreveport investigators say she will be brought to Shreveport, and they will charge her with second degree murder.
