Shelby Co. Sheriff, DA and Judge races decided

SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KSLA) -

Republican Willis Blackwell has defeated incumbent Democrat Newton Johnson in the race for Shelby County Sheriff by less than 100 votes.

With all 14 precincts reporting, Blackwell garnered 4,642 votes to Johnson's 4,554.

Willis is a former Shelby County Chief Deputy.

In the race for Shelby County District Attorney, incumbent Republican Kenneth Florence wins re-election over Democrat challenger Stephen Shires.

With 100% percent of precincts reporting, Florence takes 54% of the vote with 4,852 votes to Shires' 46%, with 4,181 votes.

In the race for District Judge 123rd District, Republican Charles Dickerson wins with 9,652 votes over incumbent Guy Griffin with 9,275 votes.
