COLUMBIA COUNTY, AR (KSLA) -
A daylong standoff in Columbia County, Arkansas has come to an end with the arrest of a man who police say had holed himself up in a home on CR 15 southeast of Magnolia.
Grayson Houck, 40, is charged with terroristic threatening and residential burglary. Houck was arrested around 4:30 p.m. after a deputy spotted him walking down a county road, though deputies had surrounded for most of the day the home where they believed the suspect was holed up.
Dozens of officers, including Arkansas State Police SWAT, Columbia County sheriffs deputies and a bomb squad from El Dorado spent the day in the area, blocking traffic and forcing some school bus routes to be detoured on Monday afternoon.
The man was believed to have had weapons as well as possible explosives in the home. No details have been released yet as to what was found in the home.
Sheriff Mike Loe didn't go into detail about what prompted the standoff, or the details behind the charge of terroristic threatening.
Neighbors say the man assaulted another neighbor early Monday morning.
Police are still on scene. The bomb squad is searching the property.
