TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

Texarkana Community College received a big show of support Wednesday with a $300,000 grant donation.

The grant will be doled out in increments of $100,000 a year for the next three years.

Awarded by the Horace C. Cabe Foundation, the grant money will benefit the TC@Texamericas Center.

Located near the Red River Army Depot, the center is designed to educate and train both the workforce and students to work on various military vehicles.

"It was a vote of the six board members investing in Texarkana College. We believe in its future. Its past since 1927 has been outstanding. It helps our community, our workforce and everyone in general," says Lucille Cook of the Cabe Foundation.

The center provides state of the art training for Red River Army Depot and contractors who support the operations of the depot.
