A night of fright for a good cause

Zombies, clowns, and mummies are sure to make you scream, but it is the reason behind the Twisted Minds Haunted House in the Halloween Express on Youree Drive that has a lot of people showing up for a scare. There are real heroes hiding behind the masks. These airmen are trying to raise money to help raise moral. "Specifically right now we're trying to raise money for our Christmas party, the 2nd Civil Engineer Squadron and the 2nd Medical Group Squadron, we both have people deploying out the door so we're just trying to throw a good Christmas party as kind of a farewell gift for them" Tech Sgt. Brandon Grimes says.

Grimes and more than 100 other airmen volunteers build and act in the haunted house. They host a haunted house every year, but this is the first year to have it off base. Grimes says they have almost tripled the amount of money they'll be able to use for their squadron.

The Twisted Minds Haunted House opens at 6:30 PM on Halloween and will stay open until people stop creeping in. It costs $10 per person, $8 for military, and children are 2 for one. Don't let the location fool you, this haunted house is very big and very scary.
