DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WAFB) -
Authorities
said a $10 million bond was set for a man charged with 100 counts of child
porn.
The Office
of the Louisiana Attorney General reported Marvin Thornton, 49, of Denham
Springs was arrested Wednesday.
Attorney
General Buddy Caldwell said Thornton was charged with 100 counts of possessing
pornography involving juveniles.
He was
booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center.
He added
Thornton was on probation for a 2011 obscenity conviction.
If
convicted of the child porn charges, he could face up to 20 years in prison on
each count.
The arrest
was the result of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General's High
Tech Crime Unit, Louisiana Probation and Parole, and the Livingston Parish
Sheriff's Office.
