They are known as the Greatest Generation…those who fought in World War II.
23 of those veterans went on a trip of a lifetime a few days ago thanks to Brookshires. They flew to Washington, D.C.where they visited and paid tribute to their fellow comrades. Along the way, they went to Arlington National Cemetery where thousands of those who fought and died in World War II are now buried. A special stop was the World War II Memorial.
KSLA News 12 was the only television station invited on the trip. Pat Simon accompanied the veterans and will tell their story in upcoming special reports.
Every day members of this generation are passing away. It was our honor to accompany a few of them from the ArkLaTexon this heroes flight.
