SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Police are investigating the robbery of a Shreveport dollar store Friday morning.
Police were called to the Family Dollar in the 9400 block of Mansfield Road around 10:30 a.m., where witnesses told them a man had entered the store and asked to use the restroom. When he came out, they say the man purchased a beverage at the register and as the clerk was opening the register to complete the transaction, the man pulled out a small handgun.
The man demanded money, and after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, took off on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.
The man is described as wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants at the time. Anyone with information is asked to call Shreveport Police Detective Jack Miller at 318-673-6955 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.

One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.More >>
