TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

A quick response by the Texarkana, Texas Police Department to a call about a possible theft has landed two Texarkana, Arkansas men behind bars.

Officers were called to the 200 block of Wade Lane on Thursday after someone reported seeing two men carrying buckets out of a house there. When officers arrived and made contact with the men, it was discovered that the buckets contained copper wiring.

The men did not live at the home and did not have permission to remove anything from it.

The men were identified as 29-year-old Justin Archer and 31-year-old Johnathon Douglas.

Both were arrested for theft of material-aluminum/bronze/copper and booked into the Bi-State Justice Center.

Bond for both was set at $25,000.
