SHARKEY COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A dangerous weather system moved through Mississippi overnight and we have confirmed injuries in Sharkey County.

Sheriff Lindsey Adams, Jr.confirms five people were injured on Mississippi Highway 14. Sheriff Adams says when emergency crews arrived around 11 Wednesday night they found a mobile home completely destroyed.

A mother and her four children were inside. One child received what the Sheriff says appears to be serious injuries. The family was taken to a local hospital.

Not far from this area another mobile home was blown off its foundation into a field. A woman was still inside. She was also taken to a hospital with numerous injuries.
