The 2nd Civil Engineer Booster Club on the Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City is hosting a haunted house at the Halloween Express in Shreveport on Youree Drive. The money raised will help to host events for the family of deployed airmen.
"It's a haunted house like no other," says First Class Airmen Clinton Pearson.
Behind each one of the scary masks hides a United States Airman. The group hosts a haunted house on base each year, but this year the group decided to take their show on the road. The space at Halloween Express was donated to the booster club, and the group spent several weeks building each frightening room.
"We have a little bit of gore, blood on the walls and stuff like that, we have a little bit of just straight up scaring somebody," says Technical Sergeant Brandon Grimes.
The money raised will be used to host events to boost morale for the family of deployed airmen.
"There's a large group of airmen that are deploying out the second week of December, and we want to do something for their families since they are not going to be together for Christmas," says Booster Club Civilian Lainy Fromm.
The haunted house is located inside of Halloween Express on Youree Drive in Shreveport. It is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 6p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are ten dollars.
