Three arrested in theft of meat from Ashdown WalMart

ASHDOWN, AR (KSLA) -

Three people have been arrested in connection with the theft of more than $300 worth of meat from an Ashdown WalMart.

The three were picked up in a traffic stop about 5 miles south of Ashdown shortly after the theft occurred on October 9. Police had been on the lookout for the green Chevrolet Malibu that had been seen leaving the store.

Police say they found about $330.00 in stolen meat in purses inside the vehicle.

46-year-old Marcus Abraham and 29-year-old Tiffany Torrence are charged with theft, and Agusta Crabtree was charged with theft and criminal impersonation. Police say Crabtree also had felony theft warrants in Bowie County.
