The Vietnam War ended in 1975, but for many veterans and their families that war lingers on.

For those who fought in Vietnam, memories of combat are hard to shake. 58,000 American troops were killed. Their families will never forget.

With that in mind, I want to make sure you are aware of an exhibit at the Norton Art Gallery in Shreveport. It's a display of photographs taken during the war by Bob Spangler of Longview, Texas. He was in Vietnam as an army photographer.

For veterans, it will remind them of day to day life in the war zone. For the rest of us, it's an insight into what many fellow Americans endured.

The exhibit is winding down. It ends this Sunday at the Norton Art Gallery.

I'm James Smith.
