SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A North Shreveport apartment complex has been damaged by another fire in less than two days.

Firefighters say they responded to a report of a fire at the Villa Norte Apartments in the 1600 block of Fullerton Street just before 12:30 a.m. Monday morning. When they arrived, they say a bedroom in a unit on the first floor was on fire.

Firefighters say they were able to get the fire under control in less than 10 minutes.

The bedroom sustained fire and heavy smoke damage. Adjacent units also sustained smoke damage.

Firefighters say all of the residents were able to escape to safety before they arrived. No one was injured.

Firefighters say this was the second fire at the same apartment complex in less than 48 hours. They responded to a kitchen fire on Saturday afternoon.
