SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
The Red River Revel Art Festival kicks off Saturday morning. Workers and participants have been setting up their art booths at Festival Plaza for days now. There will also be plenty of live music and food. The festival brings people into Shreveport from all over the Ark-La-Tex.
It's a huge fundraiser for several area non profits including many of the food vendors. Food vendors range from crawfish tails to donkey tails. Don't worry it's not real donkey, just sausage wrapped and fried in a flour tortilla.
Festival plaza opens to the public at 11 Saturday morning and is open until the 13th. Admission is $5 until 6pm, and $10 after 6. You can buy a $15 8-day pass at Porters Dry Cleaning, Red River Bank branches, or Brookshires. Admission is free during weekday lunch hours.
