SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police arrested a shooting victim Thursday after learning he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. They continue to look for the shooter.

Before he was arrested, De'Angelo Davenport, 27, of the 600 block of Seneca Trail, told police he and a friend were walking near the 700 block of Tecumseh Trail when a armed man he knows approached them from behind and demanded money.

After a brief struggle, the man fired at least two shots, striking Davenport once in the wrist. Davenport was taken to LSU Health for non-life threatening injuries.

Later, detectives learned that Davenport was wanted by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office.

The shooter, meanwhile, disappeared on foot. Police say he is black, stands about 5'9" to 6' and wears glasses.

Anyone with information about the case should call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or Shreveport Police at 673-6955.
