WAKE VILLAGE, TX (KSLA) -
Two arrests have been made in the shooting death of a Wake Village, Texas man.
27-year-old Timothy Dewayne Riley and 21-year-old Alicia Nicole Green both of Texarkana, TX, have been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting death of 29-year-old Troydricus Robinson.
Robinson was shot at a home in the 1000 block of Brown Drive in Wake Village late on the night of August 28. Police say he collapsed in the street after knocking on a neighbor's door for help.
Robinson was able to talk with authorities as medical personnel tried to save him. Before he died, Robinson allegedly told authorities that an unidentified man and woman were responsible for the shooting.
Wake Village Police Chief Ronnie Sharp announced the arrests of Riley and Green in a news conference Thursday afternoon.
Chief Sharp says Green knew Robinson, but they aren't saying who they believe fired the shots or how they came to arrest the couple. "We checked the individuals alibis. The alibis provided by these two individuals were found to be false. We received information that is confidential at this time that lead us to them."
Both are now charged with capital murder and are being held in jail on $1 million bond each. Police believe robbery was the motive.
