TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

Turned in by his mobile home park manager, a Texarkana, Texas man was arrested Thursday on drug charges after authorities say they found marijuana plants in his home.

Bowie County Patrol officers began their investigation back in March when the manager called and told them that he had found numerous marijuana plants inside the home.

Authorities got a warrant to search the mobile home and found what they called "a marijuana growing operation."

Their findings include

  • 16 large marijuana plants from the east bedroom
  • 9 medium marijuana plants from the west bedroom
  • a tray of seeding marijuana plants from the middle bedroom
  • a cardboard box containing dried marijuana in the living room
  • growing lights, an irrigation system, and different fertilizers.

A warrant was issued then for the renter's arrest, and Terry Lee Willett surrendered himself on the warrant Thursday, police say.

Willett, 48, was charged with possession of marijuana over four ounces and under five pounds, a felony. Willett's bond was set at $15,000.

The felony is punishable by up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.
