BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A&E's "Billy the Exterminator" star Billy Bretherton and his wife Mary will be in court Wednesday morning for drug charges after they were arrested at a Bossier City hotel.

Bossier City Police say they responded to a 911 hang up call on April 28th from a room at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel at the Louisiana Boardwalk.

When officers arrived at the room, they made contact with William and Mary Bretherton of Benton, Louisiana and found suspected synthetic marijuana and a device commonly used to smoke narcotics.

Police say they took custody of the suspected marijuana for testing at the Northwest Louisiana Crime Lab in Shreveport.

According to Bossier City spokesperson Mark Natale, the police department was notified last week that the substance came back positive from the crime lab as synthetic marijuana.

Arrest warrants were subsequently issued for both on misdemeanor charges of possession of schedule I of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The couple turned themselves in on June 1st and bonded out the same day.
