SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
All lanes on I20 westbound have reopened at West Bert Kouns in Shreveport, following a wreck involving an 18-wheeler that rear-ended a Shreveport police unit.
It happened just after 2 Monday afternoon. The officer, who was stopped to assist a motorist with car trouble, was not in the car at the time and was not hurt. Shreveport police say the unit was parked and the lights were on at the time of the collision.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured, but the trailer was left blocking both west-bound lanes.
Traffic was being diverted to Hwy 80 via the Industrial Loop Exit. Drivers should still expect delays in the area.
