BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

An SUV plowed through a Bossier City dry cleaners storefront and out the back on Tuesday, injuring an employee inside.

It happened just before Noon at Steve's Cleaners in the 1800 block of Airline Drive.

Bossier City spokesperson Mark Natale says it appears the driver of the dark-colored SUV may have had a medical issue that caused her to drive all the way through the building and out the back wall.

Both the driver and the female employee inside have been taken to Willis Knighton Medical Center with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

Firefighters were waiting to remove the vehicle because of concerns about stability of the structure, as it appeared a support beam was taken out. However, they have since determined the vehicle can safely be removed and that process is now under way.
