SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police detectives have arrested a man they believe committed multiple home invasions in Shreveport.

Michael Harris, 47, is being held at the Shreveport City Jail on $1 million bond. Harris is charged with aggravated burglary and home invasion.

Harris was arrested as he stepped off a Sportran bus about 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive near Legardy Street by members of the police department's Tactical Robbery Unit.

Police say a warrant for Harris' arrest had been signed only hours earlier by a Caddo district judge after it was learned that several items stolen in two separate home invasions were discovered pawned by Harris at local pawn shops.

Harris, of the 1600 block of Princess Elaine Street, is accused of committing home invasions occurring in the 1300 block of Easy Street and the 300 block of Bellmead Street.

An investigation continues despite the arrest. Police say they want to find out if other home invasions are connected.

Anyone having information about these or other crimes is urged to call detectives at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
