SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Goodwill Industries of Northwest Louisiana needs help gathering the supplies needed to the folks staying in area shelters. But those willing to donate should not give directly to shelters.
The items needed most are toiletries, diapers, underwear, towels, socks, shoes and clothing.
The Caddo-Bossier Office of Homeland Security asks that you do not drop off items at the Jewella Avenue shelter.
All items should be dropped off at the Goodwill Warehouse, located at 6020 Linwood Avenue. They will be accepting donations Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Goodwill said they will take more donations next week if there is still a need for more items.
All the items will go to the open state and city shelters.
