SWEPCO crews and
workers from other electric utilities continue to restore power to areas of
northwest Louisiana and northeast Texas.
Here are the latest outage numbers from SWEPCO
as of 1:45 p.m.:
Caddo Parish - 2,189
Bossier Parish - 418
DeSoto Parish - 261
Natchitoches Parish - 132
Vernon Parish - 296
Bowie County - 248
Gregg County - 240
At one point during the day, outages topped 5,000 customers,
with Natchitoches accounting for over 1,100 of the reported problems.
Three-hundred of the 1,200 non-SWEPCO crews have moved to
assist utilities in other parts of the state. More will probably head out
tomorrow barring any major damage or utility issues.
The company is now waiting for the storm to move further
north into their Fayetteville District in Arkansas.
