SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Shreveport police confirm that the suspect in a shooting in the Lakeside neighborhood has turned himself in.
Police say the shooting happened just after 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the 3100 block of Ashton Street.
Police say it was an argument that broke out between two family members that led one of them to shoot the other in the chest with a large caliber handgun.
The victim was taken to LSU Health with what are described as life-threatening injuries.
The suspect ran away from the scene after the shooting.
