SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Students from Dillard University seeking shelter from Tropical Storm Isaac arrived at Centenary College Tuesday morning.
Officials say 150 students and six staff members arrived on buses around 2:30 a.m. Officials say the students will not have to go to classes.
Cots have been provided for students and staff to sleep on. Officials say the evacuees are expected to stay at least one more day.
Dillard University is located in New Orleans which is right in the path of Isaac.
Officials say during the last several years, Centenary has agreed to be the evacuation safe point for Dillard when weather threatens New Orleans.
