Emily Black was born and raised in Houston, TX and is excited to be the KSLA News 12 This Morning reporter. 

Before moving to Shreveport in August of 2012, Emily spent two years as a reporter at KCBD, a Raycom Media sister station and NBC affiliate, in Lubbock, Texas.  

Emily's family still lives in Houston. She attended  Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX where she earned her degree in Communication Studies and minored in Studio Art.
