Sasha Jones may be new to the Ark-La-Tex, but she is not a stranger to the south. She comes to KSLA News 12 from Mississippi. She is originally from Southfield, MI, but is elated to call Shreveport her new home.
Sasha grew up in a suburb of Detroit, and attended college at Western Michigan University. As a film major, she developed a fondness for documentary and independent filmmaking.
After graduating she began her career in journalism at WXVT-15, the CBS affiliate in Greenville, MS. While in Mississippi she covered a variety of stories ranging from the desegregation of a local school district to the Great Mississippi Flood of 2011.
In her spare time Sasha enjoys working out, reading, watching films, acting like she knows how to cook, and traveling to visit the closest people in her life.
If you see her around the Ark-La-Tex be sure to say hi. She loves meeting new people and hearing their stories.
