DESOTO PARISH, LA (KSLA) -
The DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a Shreveport man wanted for molestation of a juvenile.
Investigators say 29-year-old Jay D. Martin, of 7800 Youree Drive in Shreveport, inappropriately touched a 13-year-old girl, told her he loved her and tried to talk her into running away with him.
Her parents leaned of the plan and called police.
DeSoto Parish Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in the suspect's arrest.
Anyone with information asked to call the Crime Stoppers line at 1-800-505-STOP (7867), or contact Sgt. Chato Atkins at the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office at (318) 872-3956. All calls are confidential.
