VIVIAN, LA (KSLA) -
A Vivian man was arrested on Sunday for making meth at a mobile home where three children were living.
Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw said agents with the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force were called to investigate a suspected lab at 307 Mary Anne Street after Vivian Police found materials associated with a lab while working a trespassing call.
Agents said the owner of the mobile home had been allowing Jason Davis and a female to stay there with three children, ages 2, 3, and 5. However, on Sunday, Davis was kicked out by the owner after Davis got into a domestic disturbance with the female. On Sunday evening, the owner saw Davis' vehicle back at the mobile home and called Vivian Police. The female and the children were not present.
Police say Davis fled from officers as they tried to arrest him. He was located in a shed about a block away.
Caddo narcotics agents were called to dismantle three "one-pot" labs, which were still emitting gas from the containers. Agents also seized $3,121 in cash from Davis. A haz mat clean-up crew from Ft. Worth took possession of the hazardous materials.
Davis, 26, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for creation of a clandestine meth lab, child endangerment, and resisting arrest.
