TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

Three Texarkana, Texas juveniles face as many as 16 charges ranging from vehicle burglary to auto theft as well as firearms crimes, authorities say.

Texarkana Police say the charges stem from an investigation they began when they were called about 1:45 a.m. Monday to investigate a burglary at an apartment complex in the 4500 block of Summerhill Road.

Once there, officers say they saw two vehicles broken into and were given a description of the suspects. That led to three juveniles in the area who matched the descriptions.

Two of the teenagers arrested are 16 and one is 17. They were charged with the two vehicle burglaries at the apartment complex and a firearms charge stemming from a pistol that was taken during one of the burglaries, police say.

Further investigation led police to add 14 other charges.
