In a news conference Tuesday morning, LSU coach Les Miles talks about Tyrann Mathieu and the rest of the team, laying to rest some rumors that have been floating around since the big news Friday.
LSU coach Les Miles says he's rooting for Tyrann Mathieu but will focus on the rest of the team. He is not speculating on his future on the football team. Miles added he has not had a conversation with Mathieu about which school he might go to if he leaves LSU.
"We will support Tyrann and give him the help he needs. But I'm not focused on that. I have 104 guys to get ready for the season," said Miles.
In a tweet from WAFB's Jacques Doucet (@JacquesDoucet), LSU Coach Les Miles said "I am not in any way speculating on next year. He definitely won't be on the team this year. I guarantee that."
WAFB's Sharief Ishaq (@ShariefIshaq) tweeted "Les Miles continues praising freshman cornerback Jalen Mills. Miles also said Dwayne Thomas is a talented guy but needs some work. #LSU"
He also tweeted "Terrence Magee has a good chance of playing on Saturdays as a receiver-Miles."
