SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Update from the Shreveport Police Department:

"A local woman reported missing has been located. ... (Natasha) Farris was located after her image was broadcast on televison.  A viewer notified authorities of Farris' possible whereabouts, at which time responding officers were successful in locating Farris in west Shreveport.  Farris was found safe and reporting family members were notified."

Shreveport Police are asking the public's help to find a woman who's been missing since August 1.

Police say Natasha Farris was last seen by relatives at her home in the 1700 block of Caroline Street in Shreveport. Farris left her home to visit friends and has not been seen or heard from since.

Farris stands about 5'3", weighs about 180 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. She has no apparent health issues, police say.

Detectives say they are concerned for her and want to make sure that she is safe.
