TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) -

The state line bridge crossing interstate 30 in Texarkana, Arkansas may soon have a different look.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Commission has given its approval to put up a sign naming the structure in honor of two ArkLaTex soldiers killed in the line of duty.

The names of Kyle Brandon Stout and Zainah Creamor is already posted on the Texas side of the bridge and visible for southbound traffic. The action taken by the Arkansas highway commission paves the way for a sign to be put up on the north bound side of the bridge.

Since the death of Stout and Creamer in 2010, local veteran organization have petitioned both states to have the name change to honor the two soldiers who were from Texarkana.

A set time for the placement of the new sign has not been made.
